We are protecting the future of young people from contracting HIV/AIDS. As of the recent records indicates: HIV has killed many especially in Africa compared to COVID-19. Until 2018, WHO estimated 570,000 to 1,100,000 AIDS pandemic associated deaths, globally; Africa accounts for two third of the global AIDS death cases.
While we all know that infrastructural development is a key to unleash potentials for growth and poverty reduction. In uninformed communities, due to public interactions within construction sites, people are likely to contract HIV if no educational programs that empowers local women food vendors, workers and local communities around Construction sites to behave responsibly and make an informed actions.
Cross community Connect works with and for benefiting HIV/AIDS affected, at risk, impoverished and devastated lives with special emphasis and focus on women, adolescent girls, sex workers, construction workers and other youth at risk of contracting HIV/AIDS. Relevant field activities have included but not limited to providing HIV/AIDS testing and counselling services, conducting life skills and youth peer learning workshops, providing sexuality education, HIV/ADS awareness rising campaigns and promoted the proper and appropriate use of protective gears, amongst many others.
Cross Community Connect in Tanzania has determinations that the current set infrastructures does not serve a driver’s role on spreading HIV/AIDS pandemic. We are actively implementing HIV prevention campaigns in both Kigoma and Katavi regions in western Tanzania. “Only if we understand can we care. Only if we care will we help. Only if we help shall they be saved.” Dr. Jane Goodall
